About our area
The Caloosahatchee River graces the south side of Meadowlark Shores RV Park. The river is approximately 67 miles long and is managed by a system of locks operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. An important link in the Okeechobee Waterway, the river forms a tidal estuary along most of its course and has recently become the subject of efforts to restore and preserve the Everglades.
